Comic Cove Manga Club Policy

Welcome to the Comic Cove Manga Club! We aim to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for all manga enthusiasts. By joining our club, both new and existing members agree to the following policies:
I. Membership Eligibility
Membership is open to individuals of all ages, with parental consent required for those under 16 years of age. Prospective members must complete an application form that includes their name, age, contact information, and interest in manga.
II. Code of Conduct
Respectful Behavior: All members are expected to interact with one another in a manner that is kind and respectful, contributing to a positive community atmosphere.
No Harassment: The club maintains a zero-tolerance policy regarding discrimination, bullying, and harassment.
Intellectual Property: Members must adhere to copyright laws and are prohibited from sharing copyrighted material without appropriate permission.
III. Meetings
Frequency: Meetings will occur bi-weekly on Saturdays from 10 AM to 12 PM.
Location: All meetings will be conducted at Comic Cove’s designated community space or virtually.
Attendance: Regular attendance is encouraged. If a member is absent for three consecutive meetings without prior notification, their membership status will be subject to review.
IV. Activities
Reading Sessions: Members will collaboratively select manga titles for reading, with input from all participants welcome.
Discussions: Each reading session will include a designated time for discussion, which will be facilitated by a volunteer member to promote dialogue about storylines, characters, and themes.
Events: The club will host quarterly themed events, such as cosplay contests and manga drawing workshops. Active participation from members is expected.
V. Contributions
Volunteers: Members are encouraged to volunteer for various roles, including event planning, leading discussions, or promoting the club.
Supply Donations: Contributions to the club in the form of manga, art supplies, or hosting workshops are welcome, though not obligatory.
VI. Termination of Membership
Grounds for Termination: Membership may be revoked if a member consistently violates the code of conduct, has excessive absences without notice, or fails to adhere to club policies.
Appeal Process: Members have the right to appeal any termination decision by submitting a written request to the Club Board within one week of receiving notification.
VII. Amendments
Policy Review: The club will conduct an annual policy review, and any member may submit suggestions for amendments.
Voting: Proposed policy changes will be presented for discussion and voted on by members. A two-thirds majority is required to enact any amendments to the policy.
